Connect Your Takealot API Key
The API key allows the repricer to read your product listings and update your prices automatically.
- Log into your Takealot Seller Portal
- Go to Settings → API Access
- Generate or copy your API Key
- In the Repricer, go to Dashboard → Settings
- Paste your API key in the "Takealot Seller API Key" field
- Enter your Seller Display Name — this is the name shown on Takealot when you are the buybox winner (used to detect when you're already winning)
- Click "Save Settings"
⚠️ Important: Your Seller Display Name must match exactly how it appears on Takealot product pages. This is how the repricer knows not to compete against your own listings.

Set Your Repricing Rules
For each product, configure the rules that protect your margins while staying competitive:
- Min Price: Your absolute floor price — the repricer will never go below this
- Max Price: Your ceiling price — used when you're the only seller or already winning
- Strategy: Choose "Undercut by R1" (recommended) or a custom undercut amount
- Active: Toggle individual products on/off for repricing
✅ Best practice: Set your min price to your cost price + a small margin (e.g. R50). This ensures you never sell at a loss even during aggressive repricing.
🔥 Pro Tier: Supplier Integration
Pro users get access to BOM Monitor, Cost Analyzer, and Opportunity Scanner. These features require connecting your supplier sources.
Adding a Supplier
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Supplier Sources
- Click "+ Add Supplier"
- Enter the supplier name (e.g. Wootware, Evetech, Rectron)
- Add the supplier's website URL and your login credentials
- Set the priority (lower number = checked first)
- Click "Save Supplier"
🔧 Supplier Setup — What You Need to Know
- Each supplier's website is different, so initial configuration may require a one-time setup by our team
- We need to verify that we can access pricing data from each supplier's platform
- Some suppliers expose data via databases, others require web scraping — we handle both
- Once configured, supplier data updates automatically

Frequently Asked Questions
How often does the repricing engine run?
Every 5 minutes by default. It checks all your active products, compares against competitors, and adjusts prices according to your rules.
Will the repricer ever go below my minimum price?
Never. The min price is a hard floor. If all competitors are below your minimum, the repricer will hold at your min price rather than going lower.
Can I pause repricing for specific products?
Yes. Toggle individual products to "inactive" in the Products dashboard. You can re-enable them anytime.
What happens if I'm already winning the buybox?
If you're already the buybox winner, the repricer won't change your price. It only adjusts when a competitor undercuts you.
Do I need to keep my computer on?
The repricing engine runs on our servers, so your computer doesn't need to be on. You only need to access the dashboard to configure settings or review history.
Can I use this with multiple Takealot seller accounts?
Each license is for one Takealot seller account. Contact us if you need multiple accounts.
